Appearance

Rei has short black hair that reaches just above her shoulders and her bangs are parted on the left side. Her hair is usually always messy due to the fact that she forgets to brush it. She normally keeps her hair down or in a half up half down hairstyle. When her hair is grown out she likes to keep it in a bun, a ponytail or down when she forgets her ribbon. If her hair is really long she likes to stylize it in a half up half down hairstyle with a bow. Rei has red eyes which sometimes appear golden and long black luscious eyelashes. She has a delicate hourglass frame and her skin is a very pale porcelain white making her appear fragile. Her lips are a natural rosy red and her skin is very soft. She likes to wear face decorations and will sometimes wear them. Her nails are also usually painted black and she likes to wear a black choker with a bell on it. Rei’s natural hair color is snow blonde but she dyed it black when she turned 15. She will sometimes dye her hair different colors but she normally just keeps it black.

Rei rarely grows her hair out really long. She normally likes to keep her hair short as it’s easier to manage.

Rei does have an alternate appearance that she has when she doesn’t have her signature black hair and red eyes. With this appearance she has her original snow blonde hair color and her eyes are a blue/green shade. She is able to change her eye color with the powers of her magic as it helps her focus more on her magical abilities. Her hair can be short or long with this appearance.

Personality

Rei is a very bubbly and childish girl. She loves to explore, play games and enjoys being mischievous. She tends to get bored easily and hates staying in one spot. She always carries her favorite stuffed animal who is a fox named Mr. Pebbles and often talks to him and for him. She doesn’t like being told what to do and can at times be very moody. Her mood can change like night and day and she’s also known to be very eccentric. Due to the extreme abuse she suffered as a child she isn’t really aware of what’s right or wrong and why she acts like a child. This normally causes her to hurt people’s feelings without intending to and doesn’t realize until they tell her. She has a black and white spectrum and doesn’t believe that there is anything in the middle. Rei isn’t afraid of death and has a bad habit of getting lost.

✕ Rei gets lost often so she when she walks next to someone she often clings to their arm when she walks; a bad habit she had as a child that never went away as well as a lot of her other childish traits.

✕ Rei loves playing games that include high activity ( Hide & Seek is her favorite ), but will also play other games such as tag or freeze. She often annoys her doctor as she always plays despite his bad mood and unwillingliness to play. Rei is very stubborn so she plays even if it is one sided.

✕ Rei loves new things so she always enjoys gifts, exploring and mysteries.

✕ Since Rei gets bored easily it is also very easy for her to get distracted.

✕ Rei can often be very selfish and therefore hates sharing. She doesn’t like having to share her toys, gifts, food and sometimes even friends. For this reason she can also be a very jealous person.

✕ Rei can sometimes be very violent and bitter. This is normally when someone hurts her feelings. She tends to hold on to grudges and can be very vengeful. The other times is when she is suffering from a psychotic break or just being mean.

✕ Although Rei hates this about herself she can also be very sensitive. She tends to bottle her feelings up and refuses to cry in front of people.

✕ Rei suffers from several mental illnesses. Although she hasn’t been fully diagnosed she shows symptoms of Schizoaffective, Schizophrenia, and BPD.

✕ Rei has however been diagnosed with Bulimia Nervosa which is an eating disorder.

Hospitalization

❝Problem child❞

Rei has been in and out of mental hospitals since the age of 5. Rei was instituted as child because she was considered a “problem child.” She was known to be very apathetic, psychotic and violent. She also suffered from self harm behaviors such as head banging, scratching herself until she bled and biting others. Rei also had a severe problem with obsessive counting, talking to herself and suffered heavily from hallucinations.

When Rei was left outside she escaped and was found when a man saw her sitting on the rail of a bridge. He called the police on her because she kept joking with him how she was going to jump off “for fun”. Since then Rei was banned from outside privileges.

However Rei is very smart and always finds ways to escape without her doctor or the staff knowing.

Rei stays in the fourth floor of the hospital. The fourth floor is for the most unstable and mentally ill patients.

Rei is taken care of by her main doctor that bought her, and her childhood doctor. She also has a psychiatrist, a dietitian and a psychoanalyst that help her in her treatment.

When Rei was instituted again she was initially in the first floor but unfortunately only lasted a week. At the end of her first week during her examination the nurse that was examining her told her she was deformed due to her self harm scars and told her that she was ugly. The nurse was also jealous because she had a crush on Rei’s current doctor at the time. Rei took the pencil that she had and jabbed it on her neck, causing Rei to be labeled as dangerous and moved from the first to the fourth.

Rei once spent 6 months in solitary for stabbing herself with a screwdriver 37 times at the age of 14. It was the 30th of December when her doctor was leaving once again to be with his wife after he had left for holiday leave. She threatened him to stay because she didn't want to be by herself but he decided to ignore her. She then managed to lock herself in another room and repeatedly continued to threaten him but still refused to stay. She decided to stab herself into the room was broken into and was sedated. Rei woke up in solitary and spent 5 months in a straitjacket and 1 month without it. She got out on the 2nd of July.

✕ Rei doesn't like pills because she thinks they will make her to go to sleep for long periods of time; something her father used to do when she was little. She is often afraid that she will not be able to wake up.

✕ Instead of pills, Rei takes her medicine by injections, according to her it makes her migraines go away.

✕ Rei enjoys taking ecstasy because they level her mood and stable her.

✕ Rei enjoys receiving injections, she likes the way needles feel and always looks forward to her medicine so that she can feel the needle.

ɪɴᴊᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴs: Ecstasy and medications.

✕ Has been taking Ecstasy since she was 14.

✕ Rei takes 3 injections twice a day to treat her symptoms, not including ecstasy

✕ Rei’s room in the institution is full of drawings on the wall, with most of the drawings consisting of clouds.

✕ One of Rei’s most common hallucination is the different types of fragrances that she likes to store in vials that only she can see.

✂︎ Rei suffers from dysphoria and suffers from low self esteem.

☁︎ Rei dislikes her body so therefore she doesn't really care what happens to it. She enjoying getting hurt and likes to indulge in self harm behaviors such as cutting, burning, self stitching and binging just out of fascination, fun or boredom. Rei also likes to insert needles in her skin and normally cuts her wrists, thighs, stomach and ankles.

✂︎ To help with her self harm habits her doctor normally gives her clay to play with so that she distracts herself.

☁︎ Unlike most people, Rei likes to self harms just for fun. She likes the way blood looks and is easily fascinated by the cuts she makes. Because she is so pale her scars are barely visible.

✂︎ Rei often binge eats massively only to throw it up as she finds pleasure and comfort in it. Her eating habits are very unhealthy and she refuses to eat vegetables as she hates them. She will binge on cake, desserts and pastries so that she can throw it up later out of pure fun.

☁︎ Rei can sometimes get severely depressed; she once stayed in a cold bathtub for 42 days straight when she was 13 because she didn't want to do anything but sleep or get in the bathtub. Her doctor allowed her to be in the tub because he preferred that over her sleeping. Once 42 days passed she pretended like it didn’t happen and she was playing the next day.

✂︎ Rei often suffers from mental breakdowns, she often confuses dreams with reality or reality with dreams. She has a lot of memories that she can't recall or isn't sure if they were real or not.

☁︎ Rei suffers a lot from memory blocking and denial. She has trouble placing real events and dreams. She often just sees everything as a dream as she thinks it’s easier.
